Preparing my last set of prints for Illuxcon! I have been using the rotary cutter at Miller Blueprint for half an hour and now I am in love with it.
A recent commission for Blackwolf of her character Jiarra’s cave in the Himalayas. It’s nice working with characters I’ve handled in the past, so it was enjoyable to delve back in with her story!
[Oh snakeskins I wanna crawl back in
To them like sleeping bags
And I need this like I need paper thin fins]
- Swimming Through Stone by Mariee Sioux
A largely song-inspired illustration, as so much of it lines up with Riark and the struggles of her journey.
Experimenting with coloring style on my friend’s dragon Martagon. I just can’t get enough of coatls there is never too much coatl.
A pretty little ACEO painting I did the other day. The original is for sale here!

I went to a nearby coffee shop to just sketch without the distraction of home stuff and it was good! I’ll do it again some time I’m sure. I started with tern studies and then did an initial doodle for the next part of that painting series I want to do, which started retroactively with the Sparrowking illustration I posted the other day. It’s going to be a series in the same style, different colors and individuals, but all with nature elements like birds and plants and maybe bugs, and exploring portraying different shades of gender spectrums in bodies and presentations.
Oh, and the flowers were just from imagination, trying to doodle the sorts of shapes I wanted to work with, so I can ask someone I know with flower knowledge what they resemble so I know what to use for ref.
And just a landscape master study focusing on colors. This week for my online class is photo studies, so I’ll probably do a bunch of canyons and rocks and maybe clothing folds in prep for the next illustration I want to next week, which is the one with Riark holding the snake.
Messy Imperial sketch, ‘cause oh man swirly tangled long dragon bodies are too much fun.

Another plein air painting- this one didn’t go as smoothly and took me two two-hour sittings instead of just one like the first. I’m not as happy with it, but it was a learning experience for blocking in trees… or the start of learning through what doesn’t work, any way. The lighting conditions kept changing, too, which is a sure way to have things thrown off.
Playing with color, wings, and gender- I really wanted to do an illustration portraying a genderfluid or otherwise non-binary person and to have it read that way, too.
And, well… I couldn’t help working in a dash of punk attitude.
This piece is available as a print!
Hey folks, sorry it took me so long to get the special for this month up! I got busy with the whole… quitting my job and moving thing, whoops. As such, I decided to keep things simple and just do sketch portraits. So if you wanted some cheap art from me, now’s your chance!
I’ve moved my commission headquarters to a Trello format to keep things organized in one place! You can find my main commission page here, and the link for this monthly special is here.
Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested— Thank you!
sleepersharks' Elegia! Yo friend I owe you somethin a little nicer but life is chaos right now. So here's something to hold you over! I've always wanted an excuse to draw this character, anywho.

I got Manga Studio on sale and it arrived yesterday, so I wanted to get a bunch done just sketching around in there- but augh I was exhausted after work, and figuring brush stuff out took a while, sooo not so much on the amount today. At least I scratched together enough to introduce Ter.
I wrote a gorram WALL of text on Ter’s… unique situation, so hop over here if you wanna read that!
